Annual Meeting 24th/25th February 2012

Malton Hotel, Killarney

Dear Delegate,

I am delighted to welcome you all to The AGM of PCDSI in The Malton Hotel in Killarney on 24/25 February 2012. We are very pleased to be hosting the meeting in Killarney as the town has excellent facilities and of course it is situated in an area of outstanding beauty.

Delegates should be able to enjoy a relaxing weekend while also attending the meeting.

The Malton is a venue we have used in the past and will therefore be well known to a lot of delegates. We feel the conference facilities here are ideally suited to our needs.

Once again Dr Johnny Loughnane has put together an excellent programme. We have an excellent range of topics and very good speakers at the meeting. We start the meeting on Friday morning (the start gets earlier each year) with a session on acne and rosacea. This will be followed later in the morning with parallel sessions and there is something here for everybody with lectures on more rarefied topics in the advanced group. Alternatively the basic group has a range of lectures on common dermatological problems.

We have included a session on hair and scalp disorders in the afternoon finishing at the very respectable time of 4.00pm.

There is a Paediatric session on Saturday morning followed by Professor Barnes who will address us on the changing primary /secondary care interface. This should provoke, at the very least, a lively debate.

The rest of the day will divided into concurrent sessions. Again in these sessions we have attempted to provide a wide of subject matter which should suit everyone’s level of interest.
The AGM will be held on Friday afternoon at 4.00pm, at the end of the meeting. We intend to hold elections for the committee at this time. I would encourage all members to attend and we would be grateful if there is anyone interested in serving on the committee that they would put their name forward.

Yours,
